The Processing Procedure of Kaolin

Mining & Raw Material
Kaolin is extracted through open-pit or underground mining methods. Once extracted, the raw ore is screened to remove large impurities and rocks, preparing it for further processing.

Crushing & Initial Grinding
The mined ore is fed into crushers for primary crushing, breaking it into smaller particles. This step ensures the ore is sized appropriately for subsequent stages of processing.

Washing & Classification
The crushed ore is mixed with water to wash away soluble impurities and other unwanted materials. After washing, the material is classified using screens to ensure it meets the required particle size.

Fine Grinding
The classified ore is then ground further to a finer consistency using ball mills or other grinding equipment. This increases the kaolin’s flowability and dispersibility, improving its performance in various applications.

Drying & Dehydration
Processed kaolin is dehydrated to reduce moisture content. Belt dryers or rotary dryers are commonly used in this step, ensuring the kaolin reaches the right moisture level for packaging and transport.

Packaging & Storage
The final kaolin is screened to ensure a consistent particle size. Afterward, it is packaged, labeled with product details, and stored in a dry, well-ventilated environment, ready for shipment or sale.
